I traveled to Austin for Drupalcon and went off on a wild ride with previous contributor and good friend Steve Musial, and also met up with bass player extraordinaire Chris Rodriguez. Aside from being a great bass player, Chris is also an accomplished break dancer.
We went to Chris' apartment and laid down the bass track for Guitar Voyager! Austin They also laid down some other cool tracks.
Patrick and I decided to whip the chimpanzee's ass with a belt and break out a Guitar Voyager favorite on the unsuspecting crowd milling about after the closing keynote at Drupalcon Austin.
Nick and I headed out to the neighborhood of Adams Morgan in Washington, DC to play with our friend Jose Isidro Reyes and to express the angst of being an angry white female in the mid 90s.
We trolled around the streets with my new castanets staying one step ahead of the cops. We managed to annoy and distract people from all walks of life. On top of the that I whipped out my King Diamond impression and Patrick makes an appearance in spirit form.
I had surgery to remove something from my back.
The question is, what could it have been? The world may never know. What's important though is that I took the opportunity to yet again shamelessly promote this blog!
Try to guess what the real reason was behind the surgery!
Patrick, Nick and I headed to the locally famous Modern Times Coffee House to crash their open mic night. Frank Cassel, local banjo musician, takes pity on us and played along. Check out Frank's website here -http://www.banjomanfc.com/
Everyone who has watched at least one Guitar Voyager video knows exactly what I'm talking about here, that pleasantly annoying intro and outro audio clip used at the beginning and end of almost every Guitar Voyager video.
This is yet another random obsession of Stan that made into the production of this blog. It's from a song called Freeway, by L7. If you don't know who L7 is then go to hell.
